Runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool come to the capital on Saturday as they take on Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds have won an incredible 20 of 21 league games this term and face a Spurs side that will be without Harry Kane until April. On top of that, the North London club have shipped 19 goals in 12 games in all competitions under their new manager.
Mourinho’s side were also held 1-1 at bottom half Championship club Middlesbrough in the FA Cup last weekend, when he named a strong lineup. Meanwhile, Liverpool were able to field their youngsters and still beat rivals Everton.
This means that Liverpool’s first team will be fresh when they take to the field at the New Tottenham Stadium on Saturday evening, looking to breach a defence that hasn’t look settled all season. Jurgen Klopp’s own defence enters this game with five consecutive Premier League clean sheets and one in the FA Cup, since their 5-2 thrashing of Everton at the start of December.
Unfortunately, Liverpool’s odds are very short, but I am confident they will win. To make the bet safer, with the game being televised at 17:30 GMT you take them in-play just to be sure they’re playing well. Provided they don’t score as early as they did in the Champions League final…
