The biggest game of the Premier League weekend is being saved for Monday night as Manchester United play host to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are badly out of form and drifting down the table – this is as good an opportunity as there ever has been for the Gunners to pick up three points against a side they challenged with for the title so many times during the late 90s and start of the millennium.
United have doubts over Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, meaning inexperienced Mason Greenwood could start up front the day before his 18th birthday. There are also fitness concerns over Paul Pogba, so Solskjaer does have issues in attack.
However, the Arsenal defence has been porous again this season so it’s up to their attack to outscore the Red Devils. I believe with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe they can do just that on Monday. It’s possible Buyako Saka starts down the left wing too and the teenager has looked impressive in the minutes he has been given so far this season.
I am surprised that Manchester United are the bookmakers’ favourite for this one as I expect Arsenal to come away from Old Trafford with three points.
